The future describes what will happen.

It is formed by adding the following endings to the infinitive of the verb:

There are a number of verbs which have an irregular stem.   These irregular stems are common to both the future and conditional tenses.

caber - to fit > cabr - he will fit querer - to want > querr - he will want
decir - to say, to tell > dir - he will say/tell saber - to know > sabr - he will know
haber (hay) > habr - there will be salir - to go out > saldr - he will go out
hacer - to do, to make > har - he will do/make tener - to have > tendr - he will have
poder - to be able > podr - he will able valer - to be worth > valdr - he will be worth
poner - to put > pondr - he will put venir - to come > vendr - he will come
